Stunned that TriMet even realizes that BRT exists? Yea, me too.

RUDDERLESS
What the public doesn't know is how soon the sun will be setting on these giant universities in their entirety - football, classrooms, alumni golden circles, and all - as we enter the age of intense energy and capital scarcities. Remember: institutions, just like living organisms, often reach their greatest scale just before they go extinct. Resource constraints would be enough to get the job done, but it's interesting to see how our programming failures and internal moral contradictions have reached the last limits of flamboyant grotesquerie in the same exact moment.

And the circus at TriMet continues...
Sound Familiar?
It is customary among public agencies to clam up when something goes wrong. The opposite approach — “Here’s what happened and here’s everything we know so far”— would be far better than secrecy in building up confidence in what our public agencies do. (hh)

TriMet’s nicest bus driver
Started talking with a random TriMet driver while waiting for a bus outside the main office. He was extremely happy with his work and employee of 20 years. Crime is low, people are protective of their drivers and they have a good working relationship with TriMet. Advised me to take a job at TriMet, because if times are bad, people cannot afford to drive and they’ll need transit. When times are good, they still need transit. So lesson learnt: some of the friendliest/happiest transit employees I’ve ever met travelling around Portland! Keep your workers happy and keep your riders happy.
As bus driver says;
You’ll always need transit – Jack Newberry, bus driver extraordinaire
I have many bus driver in mind who could qualify as the nicest bus driver...:)
(sorry about the formatting, I don't know what happened...)
