Closing off the week
After a mildly exciting week holding the TriMet Board Meeting on Wednesday, a big delay to the MAX system Wednesday night because of the gunman in SW which held up the MAXs for hours, a driver getting injured today when a car hit the front of the bus, and many other things this week which you can find on my blog I think it seems fair to close out the week and welcome the weekend with a peaceful instrumental song. This is by far one of my top favorite songs (and this youtube video with all the steam engines is awesome!).
Here's to a good weekend.
Story of the day: TriMet driver injured when car slams into bus

I hope the bus driver is going to be alright!
Sounds like this was probably a line 4 bus that was involved in the collision.
Now watch TriMet go and do everything they can to pin the blame on either the bus driver of the driver of the car.
One last thing: how does the car driver get away with no injuries while the bus driver winds up sent to the hospital? How does that work? Bus vs. Car usually equals bus winning, not car.

Liberal Media
If the media were really a "liberal media"--i.e. in the tank for liberal policies and politicians, would we really be hearing about in the media how liberal the media were? After all, where do we hear that the media is liberal? From the media!
The Dead Horse Times
The Dead Horse Times
TriMet sure does love making more new rules for bus operators....
This latest one is telling operators exactly what to do during their layovers. A little much? Yes. Does TriMet think so? No. TriMet just wants all these rules and regulations on the operators so that if anything goes wrong, the blame can easily be placed on the operator just by saying "well we have this rule that...". The cowards at TriMet will do anything they can possibly do to pin the blame on their operators instead of stepping up and being accountable. Pathetic.
Gresham TC has something new
The bus stops have been moved around.
