No service alert?
Major construction on SW Jenkins between Murray and 153rd that would affect both the 62 and 67, but TriMet has put no service alert out about it.
The only thing i can find to resemble some sort of service alert is this on twitter, but I'm not very sure if this is referring to what is going on up there on Jenkins as what J has reported. This more sounds like this was referring to an accident on Jenkins:
unTriMetAlerts unTriMet alerts
#trimet #67 detour to Beaverton TC. reg rt to 158th and Jenkins, cont 158th, R Jay st, L Jenkins & reg rt Until clr.

I'll update if I get anymore information.
On board passenger survey on the transit mall buses, Clackamas Town Center buses, and on the MAX green and yellow lines
On Board Surveying on Buses and MAX September 23 – December 31
As part of FTA’s evaluation of the Green Line, an on-board passenger survey will be administered on buses serving the Transit Mall (plus Line 6), buses serving Clackamas Town Center, and on MAX Green and Yellow Lines.
The survey will ask customers about their ridership and is designed to provide TriMet and its federal partners valuable information about the performance of the Green Line. This information will also inform future decisions about bus and rail service in the region.
Surveyors employed by NW Transit Count will be handing surveys to passengers on-board the following TriMet services starting on Friday, September 23:
Bus Routes: 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 38, 43, 44, 45, 54, 55, 56, 58, 71, 72, 79, 92, 94, 96, 99, 152, 155, 156
MAX: Green Line, Yellow Line downtown service
The survey work will conclude on December 31.
Surveyors will have picture ID, a permission letter TriMet letterhead, and will be wearing vests with the NW Transit Count logo.

US NEWS AND WORLD REPORT REVOKES PORTLAND AS #1 TRANSIT CITY!
After dropping $8,000 on bus and train billboards declaring “#1 Transit” in bold yellow letters, TriMet is scrambling to remove the self-aggrandizing ads from public view.
Oregon’s largest transit agency started putting the placards on the side of 168 buses and trains after seeing a February U.S. News & World Report story naming Portland “the nation’s “best city for public transportation.”
The corrected version knocks Portland from first to fifth place in the rankings.
“This is unheard of,” said TriMet spokeswoman Mary Fetsch. “We’ve tried contacting the story’s author to find out what happened with the faulty data.”
This is hilarious. Maybe it's Karma for TriMet...TriMet never was really #1 in the first place yet they wasted thousands on the false bus and MAX ads when it was really Portland as #1 transit as US News and World Report stated it. Now PORTLAND, not TriMet is #5.
I remember the first day I saw those signs on the buses. I thought it was a joke. Turns out it was."When in doubt, always play Beatles"
Portland AFoot: Three hours, eight streetcars, and one all-Portland downtown music festival
I went downtown for about an hour to ride 2 of the streetcars and one thing i can say is that it was a hell of a lot of fun.
I video taped the whole thing and will hopefully (aka if I'm not lazy) will be able to post it by sometime this weekend.

There should be no mystery

Sounds fishy to me and more like this collision was the cop's fault since, if it wasn't, they would already be saying how terrible the other driver was to hit this innocent cop (innocent, ha. I make myself laugh...).

Surprise, Surprise!
Our beloved PMLR project is nowhere near finished and already, talk of having a Barbur Blvd. MAX is already making it sound like a done deal. Great. So what color is this one going to be? Purple?
Bus vs. Train: Is It a Fare Transit Fight?
Bus ridership, however, outpaced trains in subway cities with 3.7 billion trips and trumped all rail with 5.2 billion trips nationwide.

Uh oh: Drunk driver slams into TriMet bus
I'm almost surprised they didn't try to blame it on the bus driver, but I guess the story of that fact that this guy had a heck of a lot of other DUII convictions is a juicer story.

The Marvelous Multicolored Milwaukie MAX
Should Milwaukie trains be Orange or Yellow (or something else)? If you board an inbound train outside of downtown, and that line is through-routed through downtown to somewhere else, what should it say? Should eastbound Blue Line trains boarded in Beaverton advertise themselves as going to Gresham or to City Center? Do you think it would be confusing for trains to change color on a regular basis? (What about bus routes?)
Read the full post HERE (and i would highly recommend you doing so).
Here is what I attempted (but failed because technology hates me) to post on the comments of the Portland Transport MAX post:
We (especially us transit geeks) have always known PMLR to be the orange line (or as i like to call it, the rotten orange line), and that should not change. Changing it will only make everything surrounding the new planned light rail line even more confusing than it already is. Since the project has begun in planning and such, TriMet has always boasted it as the orange line (at least to my knowledge) and everything online that they associate with PMLR ends up orange, thus the orange line. Heck, even the project logo is orange, so why should it change?
Moving on to the question of inbound trains going through the city center (Blue line from Gresham-city center-Hillsboro, vice versa), I think those should follow the same system Red Line trains do. What I have seen with the red line trains sometimes is if the train is leaving Beaverton, the sign will say Airport via city center and vice versa. Blue line trains should do the same. A train leaving Hillsboro/Gresham should display Gresham/Hillsboro as well as city center as in “Gresham via city center” or “Hillsboro via city center”. Doing it that way would make it less confusing to riders who do not yet know the system and how the train destinations work.
Though the Red-Blue line and Yellow-Green line changes work, having a yellow line train leaving downtown suddenly change into an orange line train or vice versa is just a stupid idea. All that does is make it that more confusing to everybody, mainly those who do not know the system well, and creates an unnecessary situation. If a train were to leave the PSU turnaround, it should simply display the destination that it is going to with the line color that it would be, so if it was a yellow line train, the destination sign would be yellow with the typical Expo Center display. In the future when PMLR is finished (because nothing anybody can do will stop it at this point) if that train was coming from the said turnaround, it should say Milwaukie and the sign color should be orange--it’s as simple as that. To have trains change color, like the proposed yellow/orange line situation, would just be stupid.
Buses I feel the same. If they’re bound through city center (like the 35 for example), going from one end of the line to the other, the sign should display the end destination and via city center and where ever else major that the line ends up going besides the end destination. For example, the 35 comes from Oregon State University and into downtown, through downtown, into lake Oswego and then eventually through to Oregon City. The destination sign heading to Oregon City could read: Oregon City via city center and Lake Oswego. Simple as that. We gotta face it that our bus system is not the best designed and TriMet is 99% likely not to change that, but we could at least make it work better by making it less confusing for new riders, tourists, and people who simply do not have very good knowledge of TriMet’s system. Why make something more confusing if we don’t have to?
Don't close the bus lane on 82nd Ave!
The 82nd Avenue bus lane runs in the outside (curb) lane of 82nd from SE Monterey Avenue (the street used to access the CTC Transit Center from 82nd) to SE King Road. It is located between the curb and the northbound bike lane (and separated from general traffic by bikes); two general travel lanes in each direction, a turning refuge, and a southbound bike lane make up the remainder of the street's configuration. Three bus lines--the 31, the 71, and the 72 (the busiest line in the system), which combine for up to 10 busses per hour, use this stretch of 82nd (at King the 31 and the 71 head west where the 72 continues north). Traffic in the area is frequently a parking lot, so the bus lane gives TriMet and its riders an important efficiency and reliability advantage.
The buses need this lane to keep their schedules and get riders where they need to go on time. That bus lane is a necessity to 82nd ave where the 31, 71, and 72 run.
The saftey concern can be addressed without removing the necessary bus lane.I've seen how bad traffic can get on that stretch of road and, trust me, it can get worse than terrible. Taking this bus lane away from the buses would make it that much worse for the bus drivers and passengers.
