TriMet's Old Bus Wraps
Only one of these wraps still exists today, the rest have been repainted over them and/or the buses scrapped. Can you find it?
Spirit Mountain Casino, 2500
Oregon Humane Society, 2100
A-Boy wrapped bus, 2200(?) might be a 2000
The Culture bus, 1701. This one still exists. The bus runs out of Center garage and you can see it most often on the line 68 (or that's at least the line I see it on the most).
Race Fever, 1709
Race Fever, 1424
Jobdango.com, 1730
Car Loan bus wrap, 1718
Chili's, 1755
Buster's Barbecue, 1408. This bus is by far my favorite. On the top front of the bus there are bull horns, but you can hardly see them in this shot.
Candy Cane, 1418
Chinook Winds Casino, 510
Ocean Blue, 550
The Zoo, 600

Back when the 57 ran downtown...
It used some of TriMet's (now nonexistent to TriMet) articulated buses! This was taken back in July 1997, bus 733.

The 57's old route used to go all the way downtown. It ran all the way out to Forest Grove to downtown at North Terminal/ Union Station. Now it only runs from Forest Grove to Beaverton TC and the 58-Canyon Road takes over the Beaverton TC to downtown portion of the route. It no longer runs all the way to North Terminal either, only down Columbia, left on 4th ave., then left on Jefferson up to Sunset Hwy.

That's just sick. What has our nation come to?

Drivers talk about life on the job
But they told me that, in New York, if a passenger wants to file a complaint against a transit operator, he or she is charged a fee; the fee is refundable if the complaint is valid.
Good idea.I asked them about food and drink, because a streetcar is a pigsty by day’s end, and also because a woman once spilled hot tea down my back, and I remember her every time I’m in the aisle seat and the person standing over me is drinking something over my head. They agreed that food on transit wrong. They also figure that bus has left the station.

The green thing!
The Big Green Bus is the work of 13 students at Dartmouth College. The modified Greyhound runs on a unique propulsion system that uses vegetable oil instead of fossil fuels along with solar panels to provide electricity. Each year a different group of students climbs aboard and spends the summer driving across the country and teaching people about sustainability.

A quote
"When you fight, you're alive, you're somebody. You're not standing in the corridor with your hands behind your back. Maybe that's it, that you're free, swinging your fists, letting people know who you are. Even if you're going to die. That kid who beat up Mr. Hooft, maybe he knew more than Mr. Hooft thought. Maybe he knew he was going to die, but needed to bee somebody for that minute. Like the guys in the hood running down the streets throwing signs and spitting smack like they're bulletproof, but knowing they aren't. Knowing they aren't."
