I think that's an articulated bus stopped! cool! Those buses sure look different, huh?

This must've been a long time ago!

look at the left side of the picture. You can see a little bit of the fare sheet. Look how cheap those fares were! Can we go back to that, TriMet? Pretty Please? :) yea, like that'll happen.

5th and Salmon

this bus stop is at sw 5th and salmon. It is where the 51 lays over and the 15 stops there too. The reader board is no longer there. What i was told is that it was broken a long time ago and TriMet never bothered to fix it and just took it down. The shelter remains the same...minus the handy reader board.

What i would like to point out about this picture is that the bus stop sign say 4, 6, and 75, but the bus at the stop bears line 12. Hummm...?

Charlie Hales for mayor? Nah.
Since then, Hales has made a living literally hawking streetcars across the country. He's on record as wanting Portland to be "the best European city in America."
Gong!
He may not be a pathological liar with a teenage lover in his closet, and he'll talk a good line about economic development, but he wouldn't change things much.
So Much For Sustainable Portland
You read that right: Los Angeles uses less fuel per capita than the purported capital of Sustainability and all things Green. Hope mayor Adams likes the photo of L.A.Well, how embarrassing. Obviously, Metro, CoPo, and Tri-Met desperately need to hire on a few dozen more "planners".
Get Real
Notice that Scott Pelley did not announce that the US DOJ is investigating Goldman Sachs, or Citi, or Merrill Lynch, or Bank of America or several other so-called banks for looting the American public and influence-peddling in the halls of government. Or the SEC and the CFTC for failing to regulate the trade in frauds and swindles. The window for that sort of action is closing, and with it the reasonable hopes of citizens in the legitimacy of institutions that manage things.

2011 Rose Festival Service
Avoid crowded MAX trains before and after the Starlight Parade by taking the free Lloyd Center Express bus shuttle. It will operate every few minutes between 5:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.
Really, TriMet? You're going to make the shuttle free? Trying to own up to your long-standing claim that you're broke? You want to get that way? Here's an idea: charge some small fare at least! Maybe $1.50, just not free!
Lines 9–Powell/Broadway, 12–Barbur/Sandy Blvd, 15–Belmont/NW 23rd, 17–Holgate/NW 21st, 19–Woodstock/Glisan and 20–Burnside/Stark intersect the parade route and will be detoured. Closed stops will be posted.
Why don't you tell us what the closed stops will be right now so we don't have to find out the hard way? (aka the way where you're running late and you get to your regular stop where the bus would regularly come to and get you to where you needed to be on time only to find the stop was closed, thus making you need to find a stop that isn't closed to catch your bus.
And could you tell us the detours? Just so we know? Shouldn't be too hard. Just put the bus detour routes on that handy little map-->
Oh, and everything, unless otherwise noted in TriMet's news release, will be running on Saturday Schedules.

Chatterbox on the Train
What's shocking about Beard is that she told officials she was the one who felt "disrespected" and obviously had no clue that she disrespected everyone else who had to suffer through hours of her mind-numbing chatter. They were the ones, after all, who had to lose time getting to their destination to make the unplanned stop and have her removed from the train (though they probably thought the stop was well worth the time loss).
Beware of people with big egos and who are not aware of anybody around them.
I still can't get it--SIXTEEN HOURS?? How do you talk that long?
Safety is Everywhere
Bus crashes on the rise
Compare that article's data to TriMet's number of bus crashes. TriMet is quite safe compared to that.
