Gotta hand it to the media...
they've done a brilliant job convincing the general public that TriMet and TriMet operators (mainly bus) are terrible.
Sitting here in class as the conversation once again drifted to TriMet, it is very easy to see. Everybody in my class is convinced TriMet is terrible and now they're telling stories about times they've been on the bus that are 'proof' of this. Nearly all of those stories i have heard are misconceptions.
There is one i specifically remember...
During someone's bus ride, someone else in the back of the bus got sick. This person who was telling the story, now, they say the driver told everybody to keep away from there and just kept going after calling somebody (which i assume was dispatch).
"The stupid driver didn't do anything!" she told the group of kids.
Well i would like to ask, WHAT could the driver do? That is a bio-hazard and i would guess that after the bus was done dropping people off that were already on the bus, they would head back to the garage or get a traded bus to continue.
