The legislature is considering major cuts to a program that buys a free TriMet pass for every high schooler at Portland Public Schools, pays for 26% of every new city-installed bike rack and knocks 35% off the cost of employer-provided transit passes, the chair of the state House’s transportation committee said Monday.
Two months ago, transportation advocates thought they’d be spared major cuts to the state’s $102 million business energy tax credit, or BETC. No more.

Can you believe it?
As low as 1,000 feet on Thursday, the weather forecasters claim snow! They've gotta be joking! It's April now and temperatures have been nowhere close to freezing or below...
One last thing to say: TriMet, don't freak out! There won't be any snow.
