Beaverton VS. Portland
While the Beaverton Police are doing their job right, Portland Police continue to screw theirs up.
Who remembers the last time they saw a Fare Inspector? How about on a BUS?
Well this blogger apparently encountered one and obviously wasn't too happy about it at all:
Just got fare inspected on a God damned trimet BUS. Are you assholes bored or something?
Give the poor fare inspector a break! He's only doing his job.

Brother of woman killed in TriMet bus crash says he punched driver to get her attention | Oregon Live
Now how, may i ask, will PUNCHING someone get their attention? Idiot! Don't punch the poor woman!

Jared Got a Gun
Jared Lee showed an unusual concern for language and literacy. His videos were all words, no pictures. I wonder if the word SAFEWAY flashed through his brain when he pulled the trigger.

In-Transit Messages that failed to send in legible text
The first clue something was messed up today:
4:02pm--Max train going backwards up SW 6th a few blocks up from SW Columbia. Weird. Something must be going on with the Max system again...
Jumped on a line 58 to see if i could figure out what was going on...
4:31pm--You know the max trains are screwed up when line 58 and 20 (likely more, but these are the definite bus lines) are packed tighter than a can of sardines and the line 58 has to change to drop off only with just about every inch of space on the bus full.
Finally got around to figuring out what was going on:
5:33pm--Alright, so what I've heard is that there was some sort of bomb threat object or something found down on a westbound Max Blue line that ended up stopped halfway across SW 6th (thus screwing up other bus and max service down the street.).
Max trains were stopped [but at the time i sent this message they were resuming service, but delays were to be expected as trains got back on schedule], buses running down SW 6th were re-routed from the street away from pioneer square and, at least, lines 58 and 20 were flooded with people trying to get into Beaverton TC.
And after I got home i finally figured out what was screwing up the TriMet service and Portland earns this:
6:31pm--I have nothing more to say except to do this: Portland = *face-palm*
What a day, what a day.
Now what will the 'snowpocalypse' of tomorrow hold for Portland? Are we even going to actually see snow this time? (heck, i'd be happy if school was cancelled).
We shall see.....
