Conflicting Stories: Shooting near Gresham Transit Center

GRESHAM -- A gunshot wound victim was taken to the hospital after an incident at the Gresham Transit Center late Wednesday.
The victim tried to board a bus after being shot near NE 8th & Kelly at around 8:30 p.m. Police responded and the victim was taken to the hospital.  The victim's condition is unknown.
The Gresham Police gang team is investigating the shooting.  Investigators said there could be three suspects, but no one is in custody.
TriMet service is bypassing the Gresham Transit Center as crews investigate.

The 36-year-old was shot in the area of North Fifth Street and Kelly Avenue, Gresham police say, and he walked to the MAX station to call 911.
It's not clear how many times the man was shot or his current condition.
Police and K-9 units searched the area. Gang detectives were at the scene, but there is no word if the shooting was gang-related.
