The Party of "No"
Taking Eco-Friendly to the Max...but hasn't trimet claimed in the past that max was already eco-friendly? Great job there, trimet.

Oh, yeah. That's the way to prevent accidents...
Confuse them. That definitely won't raise the risk factor for having an accident. Nope. Not one bit....uh huh...
Great job, Amerika...
Great job, Amerika...
The way things seem to be these days in Amerika...
Just look at this:
"The rich get rich and the poor get poorer." Well, not in this case, they don't. Wow. That's what you could call a huge stroke of luck. geez...
We Need the Public to be Responsible for their OWN SAFETY and not endangering others around them by their stupid actions to attempt to shave 20 seconds off of their commute
EXCELLENT POST BY MAX FAQS: Train safety videos
I have seen one too many close calls with Max trains and Buses downtown on the transit mall--people running inches in front of a Max train to catch it, car drivers cutting buses off by going into the BUS ONLY lane ( and this happened only 2 weeks ago. Thank god no one was hurt or killed.), idiot cyclists running red lights and nearly being hit, ect.
Enough is enough.
Most of these accidents could've been prevented if their had been common sense applied to the situation as it happened. Get this in your head. If you see a train coming, Max, commuter rail, any train, DON'T try to beat it across the tracks. You can easily kill yourself and endanger the lives of the people around you by this idiotic action. The trains can't stop in time. Period. Even just with Max light rail it takes at least two blocks for the train to come to a complete halt.
Use common sense.
Don't run in front of the Buses or do anything stupid around them either. That will easily cost you your life. You get it? The train, bus, whatever, they're going to win. Be smart around transit.
Oh, and you cyclists who ALWAYS run those red lights? Don't do it for god's sake! Us bikers are a hell of a lot more vulnerable than the drivers around us in their metal vehicles. I have seen way too many of these kinds of close calls as well. Bikers still have to obey the rules of the road just like cars do, believe it or not. Is using common sense that hard?
Those Max and Wes trains are a whole lot bigger and heavier than you are in your car or on your bike. So are the buses, regardless if they are 30' or 40' they can and will kill you if you get in their path and the operator can't react in time.
Sometimes it seems like it's too hard for a lot of people...
Remember kindergarten and preschool? LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING THE STREET.
Basic common sense. It's not that hard. Try it.
whew! I needed to get that out. :-)
Till next time...
